Interpretation

Just to know how to read the Koran is not enough to understand what the Koran is saying, so interpreting the Koran´s meaning is not easy. And the Koran is valid only in the original Arabic, the language of the Koran.
The translation of the Koran can never be considered as a Koran in itself, but helps to understand the original content.

There is no single governing religious body in Islam. There is no hierarchical structure in Islam, there is no such thing a church, or Vatican to tell believers how to navigate the complications of the text. Each person´s understanding scripture is his own, trusting what may seem to him or her a reasonable interpretation.

The Koran has several levels of meaning, and only can be discovered by constant reflection to turn it into an open text.

The Koran states that:
-It has verses which are clear and precise in meaning, and are considered as the basis of the divine scripture. And other verses are allegorical
-In the Koran when a verse is abrogated or caused to be forgotten, it will be replaced  by a better one or one similar to it.

For example the alcohol was prohibited in a gradual process. First the Koran says that is forbidden to attend to prayers while intoxicated. And then later, prohibition on alcohol consumption was complete, without exception.

But interpreting exactly what the sacred text means has been the subject of debate and controversy for centuries. The Koran contains mysteries still unknown to this day ,and  can be interpreted in many different ways.
